Job Prospects for Graduates

The unique interdisciplinary training gained by students in the School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM) has enabled those who have focused on fisheries science and management to obtain excellent jobs, most often in management or research positions in private consulting firms, federal and provincial government agencies, international agencies, or universities. As well, after completing their Master’s degree in REM, some fisheries students have gone on to Ph.D. degrees and post-doctoral fellowships at other well respected universities in areas such as fisheries or decision sciences.

Here is a list of some alumni of our fisheries research group and their current jobs.
